FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION

• The NRL competition contains 26 separate rounds for entry, corresponding to the 26 rounds of matches of the 2009 NRL season. The rounds of matches for the season are available at nrl.traveldaily.com.au.
• The FREE footy tipping competition kicks off on 12 March 2010 and all travel industry staff are invited to register and test their predictive skills with amazing prizes to be won each week. The competition will close on 05 September 2010.
• To be eligible to enter the footy tipping competition you must be 18 years of age and over and employed within the Australian travel industry. Tippers must still be working within the industry at the end of the footy season to be eligible to win prizes.
• The Travel Daily footy tipping competition is conducted online and via Travel Daily which is an Australian travel industry publication.
• Footy tippers who register to compete online will receive two emails each week – the first one will be emailed on Friday afternoon reminding tippers to submit their tips and the second email will be sent on Tuesday morning announcing the weekly winners with a link to the points ladder.
• The competition ladder is sorted by score, then alphabetically by name.

HOW TO ENTER

• To enter, entrants must first complete the competition registration form on the Travel Daily Tipping Website nrl.traveldaily.com.au (click on “Join”) by providing all requested details. Entrants must read these conditions and the rules for making tips “Rules” available on the site.
• By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the tipping rules. Entrants must select a valid username/ID and password at the time of registration. Entrants must enter their ID and password each time they wish to access the “Tippers” section of the Travel Daily Tipping website.
• For each tipping round in which an entrant wishes to submit tips, the entrant must submit their tips for each match in the tipping round prior to the deadline for the match.
• Entrants must make their tips on the tippers page at the Travel Daily Tipping website. Entrants may change their tips for a match, provided they do so prior to the relevant deadline for the match for which the tip is being made. If a registered entrant changes their tips for a tipping round, only the most recently entered tips have effect and each registered entrant will only receive one entry to the Tipping Round.

ABOUT TIPPING

• Tips for each game can be entered or edited at any time before the commencement of the nominated game time featured on the site.
• The competition “closing time” is 6.30pm every Friday (Sydney time).
• Tips will NOT be accepted after a game has commenced.
• Points for correctly tipped wins earn two (2) points.
• Two (2) bonus points will be awarded for a perfect round.
• Three (3) points will be awarded for a correctly tipped draw.
• The maximum number of draws allowed to be tipped per round is two (2).
• One (1) point will be awarded for an untipped draw.
• Default tips for tippers who don’t submit tips or for late entrants is calculated as lowest in each round minus one (-1).

TIPPER RANKINGS

• Tippers are firstly ranked by their weekly score, where the highest score is the highest rank.
• Each week, for one randomly selected game in the round tippers will be required to enter a margin (example – the number of points team 1 will beat team 2 by).
• In the event of tied scores and margins, a count back on the previous weeks winning games (then margins) will determine the overall rankings.
• Weekly winners will be determined by the user’s weekly score for the round.
• End of season winners (first, second and third prize) will be determined by total score and then by their total margin, and then by countback.

LIMITATIONS TO ENTRY

• A person must not register more than once. There is a limit of one entry per tipping round per entrant.
• Tippers must be part of the Australian travel industry – travel agents, suppliers, airlines, tour operators, tour guides  etc, as ruled by Travel Daily at the judges absolute discretion.
• Tips sent by email to info@traveldaily.com.au will not be registered. All tipping must be done exclusively through the nrl.traveldaily.com.au website.

WINNERS NOTIFICATION & PUBLICATION

• The winners will be notified by email, using the registration details provided in their entry. The names of the weekly winners will be published in Travel Daily following the weekend matches and prizes will be mailed to the winners work address.

• The first three top point scorers at the end of the footy season will be announced at 10am on Friday 10 September 2010 at the Travel Daily office located at Suite 4, 41 Rawson Street, Epping, Sydney NSW 2121.
• Top point scorers awarded a prize valued at over $1000 will be notified by phone and mail and have their names published in Travel Daily and The Australian on the same day.
• Unclaimed prize draws, if required, will be as follows:

For unclaimed tipping round prizes – at 12 noon on the date three (3) months after the last deadline for a match in the round. Any unclaimed prizes after this period will be awarded to the next highest tipper on the ladder.

For unclaimed overall tipping prizes – at 12.30pm on Fri 07 January 2011 at the Travel Daily office located at Suite 4, 41 Rawson Street, Epping, Sydney NSW 2121.
